Chapter preview:  I should of known that it was going to happen, but I had gotten my hopes up somehow, actually believing that someone as incredible as him might actually consider being with someone as plain and boring as me. And that only made the pain feel even worse… because I had seen what life could be like if I had someone who cared for me in that way.

But I had been blind… completely wrong. At that point I didn’t know the real reason behind Edward’s coldness- if I had then I certainly would have reacted different. But at that moment I just thought that it was because he had seen how normal I was and didn’t feel interested anymore.
